Ayurvedic Day Retreat: Transition into Spring

with Amita Basra & Ashley Meadows

Join us for an interactive day of Ayurveda, cooking, yoga and breathwork. Learn how to see through an Ayurvedic leans and gain the ability to understand what foods and practices are best for you in the transition from winter to spring.
We will gather at 9:30am for tea and introductions. At 10am we will settle into morning breathwork and mantra for 20 minutes, followed by; Introducing Ayurveda, the Doshas and the Qualities. The discussion will be on food, and how the qualities of these foods are perfect for the Kapha, or winter season. We will then discuss the recipes, ingredients, and how they are supporting the body from the transition of winter to spring. Next we will start the interactive cooking class. The participants will receive a hands on learning approach as they cook with us, three recipes that will be enjoyed on the lunch break. Lunch will be around 12:30pm followed by free time until 1:30. At this time we will regroup for some more education and discussion of Ayurvedic daily practices. At 3pm the participants will have a 1 hour Ayurvedic yoga session followed by a closing circle.
